Volunteering at St. Patrick Center

There is absolutely no way that St. Patrick Center could function without its thousands of volunteers! Volunteers are the lifeblood work force that gives generously of time and talent. By their support of our events, they help raise more than one million dollars a year to fund St. Patrick Center! There are many, many ways to volunteer, and we can help you find a perfect fit!

Administrative volunteers
Every department on every floor of St. Patrick Center has a need for administrative volunteers to update and maintain thousands of records. Duties include data entry, filing, sorting, copying and organizing.

Event volunteers
St. Patrick Center hosts several events each year, and volunteer duties include staffing, committees, materials preparation and other administrative tasks.

Program volunteers
Many volunteers work directly with St. Patrick Center’s 22 employment, housing and mental health programs. Duties include serving lunch to Shamrock Club clients, cooking meals for the Casserole Program, job searching, corporate and leadership training, babysitting in our Child Drop-In Center, sorting donated clothing, organizing the food pantry, loading donations and deliveries at the dock, cleaning and more.

Community service volunteers
St. Patrick Center has several volunteer opportunities for high school and college students who need to fulfill community service hours. Opportunities include sorting clothing and canned goods, serving lunch, administrative duties, bussing tables, supervising children and more.

If you would like to volunteer at the St. Patrick Center, please fill out a Volunteer Application and a Standards of Conduct Agreement, and send them to Jeanne Schutte, Development Manager, 314.802.1987 or jschutte@stpatrickcenter.org. You may also fax them to 314.802.1982.
