“A lot of places call themselves helping people, but St. Patrick Center really does.”

Aaron found himself homeless after he lost his job. A Journeyman Ironworker, he fell back on paying his dues and without a job, was forced to move into a local shelter. “I lived in the shelter for three months and kept hearing stories about St. Patrick Center,” says Aaron. “Everyone kept telling me to check it out for myself, so I did.”

When he arrived at St. Patrick Center, Aaron met with caseworkers who were determined to get him back on the right path to employment. “They knew I was serious about getting my life back on track,” he states. “They saved my life… they literally saved my life!”

Within months, Aaron re-paid his union dues and went back to work. He now finds himself telling people who are struggling about St. Patrick Center and how much the agency helped him build permanent, positive change, and he continues to express his gratitude. “Our job as humans is to help other people… St. Patrick Center is truly a place that develops love between people.”
