Replenishing the Earth
Replenishing the Earth

“The philosophy of our business fits with the philosophy of the BEGIN New Venture Center. We don’t want anything to go to waste, including people.”

Cathy Ramirez and Clarice Hutchens, owners of Replenishing the Earth (RTE), believe that nothing should be wasted. More than a year ago, they started a female-owned “green” company which applies cradle-to-cradle concepts for managing waste in the food service and construction industries in order to divert waste from traditional methods of disposal. They also created a comprehensive line of food “serviceware” that enables zero waste. While the concept of RTE was on-target with where the green industry is headed, Cathy and Clarice knew they needed some extra help to expand their business.

After meeting Jan DeYoung, Director of St. Patrick Center’s BEGIN New Venture Center small business incubator, Cathy and Clarice knew they found the right fit for their growing company. “The BNVC has catapulted our business,” says Cathy. “It is truly a one-stop shop for small businesses.”

Cathy and Clarice have access to a myriad of services including daily business assistance, contact with experienced service providers, a professional business location and more. And they immediately connected with St. Patrick Center’s mission. “It fits with our business philosophy that nothing should be wasted, including people,” says Cathy. “We are excited to help provide jobs for those in need.”
