“St. Patrick Center can steer you in the right direction. I’m just thankful for everything that I have now.”
Wanda dealt with physical and mental health issues that took her to the point of a nervous breakdown. She ended up homeless and living in shelters, where she learned about St. Patrick Center and Rosati Group Home.
“I was lost, I wasn’t me anymore,” Wanda recalls. “But I knew Rosati Group Home was where I needed to be.” Wanda moved in and says it felt like being home. She says she received a lot of help from the staff, got her disability and doctors started treating her mental illness with medication. “I just thank God for Rosati.”
Wanda lived at Rosati Group Home for eight months then got her own apartment with St. Patrick Center assistance. Since then, her life has really changed! “I’m an associate minister, I’m going to school for business management and I’m married!”
Wanda says her husband, her two daughters and four grandchildren are her support system. “I thank God every morning and ask the Holy Spirit what he wants me to do to help someone else.” Anything she can do to help, Wanda is willing. “Sometimes people just need a little push to keep on.”
