Key Players raise $652,000 for St. Patrick Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 23, 2011

St. Patrick Center announced today that the agency’s Key Players have raised $652,000 to date for the Key Player Initiative, a community-wide effort to help move clients from homelessness to housing.

The $652,000 total, from August 2007 through June 2011, has allowed St. Patrick Center to move 326 clients and their families into housing. Money raised by Key Players in the community pays for rent, utilities, Livings Skills classes, case work and program costs.

The total includes $124,000 raised by Key Players during the 2010-2011 school year, allowing St. Patrick Center to move 62 clients/families into housing.

“We are so impressed by our Key Player schools, individuals and corporations who continue to achieve measurable and meaningful outcomes that make a substantial difference in the lives of those in need,” says St. Patrick Center CEO Tom Etling.

To date, the Key Player Initiative consists of 123 Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Schools and 19 individuals, corporations and foundations. Key Players are encouraged to use their creative resources to organize a variety of fundraisers. For a complete list of current Key Players, visit www.stpatrickcenter.org.
