Thanks to the generosity of local parishes, individuals and businesses, St. Patrick Center in August collected and distributed nearly 2,600 donated backpacks full of school supplies during its Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway delete program. In addition, students from 123 Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic schools raised $124,000 during the 2010-2011 school year, allowing the agency to move 62 clients/families into housing.

“We cannot say thank you enough to those who support us through their schools, corporations and parishes,” says St. Patrick Center CEO Tom Etling. “It is because of these partnerships that we are able to maintain our efforts to serve an increasing population in need.”

Would you like to make a difference?

• Help make a family’s Christmas Wishes come true! We need businesses, schools and churches to sponsor families for the Christmas Wishes family sponsorship program December 15 & 16. We also need volunteers to sort, wrap and distribute gifts for the event.

• Form a team of 10 for the Sports Trivia Championship! Ask your co-workers, friends and fellow sports enthusiasts to bring their games to the world’s largest sports trivia event on February 17, 2012 at Chaifetz Arena.

• Organize a group to volunteer at a Pot O’ Gold fundraising stand in front of a Schnucks store! On March 16 & 17, 2012, the rainbow kettle drive will raise cash and change for build permanent, positive change.
