IRA Rollover The Pension Reform Act of 2006 includes the IRA rollover to charity provision that charities have been seeking for years. For this year and 2007 only, IRA distributions up to $100,000, direct to charity, for persons who have attained age 70 and a half, have no tax effects: the distribution will not be taken into income and no charitable deduction will be allowed. This is especially useful for non-itemizers and donors who are not able to deduct amounts taken from their IRAs because of percentage limitations on charitable gifts. In addition, such rollovers will qualify for the minimum annual distribution requirements which apply to IRAs. The new provision applies to traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs, but not to other qualified retirement plans. :: view the Ladue News IRA Rollover ad

Why We Give: U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development
“The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development is proud to fund St. Patrick Center’s Rosati House. This innovative housing project required a lot of complex paperwork, meetings and phone calls, but it was all worth it to see construction begin on the new 26-unit apartment complex. This first-of-its-kind public-private partnership was an incredible team effort by many, and we look forward to the day when 26 chronically homeless men and women will make Rosati House their home.”
James Heard, St. Louis Field Office Director, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development
