When David came to St. Patrick Center, he had stopped doing drugs, but was homeless with several medical problems, including HIV+. He completed the Homeless Employment Program (HEP), and started working with his case manager to apply for driving jobs.
David dressed for success, never missed an appointment and wrote thank you notes after each job interview. Within 45 days, he was offered a fulltime job driving a Clayton hotel’s courtesy shuttle. David also moved into an apartment.
David used his days off to search for a higher paying job with his case manager. Today, he is working fulltime with a car rental agency. David is also involved with community education and public speaking about HIV/AIDS.
