SPC Programs Overview
A look at how many we served in Fiscal Year 2008:
In Fiscal Year 2008, we placed 621 clients and their dependent children into permanent housing. We placed 746 clients into full-time and part-time jobs. We provided services to 3,788 clients dealing with mental illness and/or substance abuse.
Casserole Program: More than 70 church and community groups (2,300 volunteers) served 157,500+ meals. :: read more
Mobile Outreach: Counselors met with 495people on the streets. :: read more
Neighborhood Support: Agency-wide, 791 poverty-level families received assistance. :: read more
Client Intake, Assessment & Tracking Program: Counselors completed 3,238 new assessments. :: read more
Child Drop-In Center: 1,683 children were cared for while their parents received services. :: read more
Partnership Center Healthcare Wing: We provided comprehensive health services to 1,100 clients. :: read more
Shamrock Day Program: We assisted 1,423 clients. :: read more
Shamrock Alumni Club: We provided employment training, financial counseling and substance abuse counseling to an annual membership of 256. :: read more
Substance Abuse Treatment Program: We helped 1,064 clients dealing with substance abuse & mental illness. :: read more
Women’s Night Program: 114 mentally ill women received emergency shelter & assistance with finding permanent housing. :: read more
ABE/GED: We taught & tutored 198 clients. :: read more
Independent Living Skills: We had 371 graduates. :: read more
Job Skills Training: agency-wide, we helped 746 clients find & retain employment. :: read more
Homeless Employment Program: We helped 181 clients find employment. :: read more
McMurphy’s Grill: 65 clients participated in the restaurant training program and 41 found employment. :: read more
Project REACH: We placed 165 ex-offenders into full-time jobs. :: read more
Transportation Assistance Program: We provided 9,187 bus tickets to 872 clients in employment programs. :: read more
Veterans Employment Program: We placed 152 veterans into full-time jobs & 58 into housing. :: read more
Assertive Community Treatment: Since the program began, we have housed 111 clients, ending more than 400 years of homelessness. :: read more
Housing Support Program: 621 clients & their dependent children received financial support to move into permanent housing. :: read more
Project Protect: Since this new program began in February 2008, we have assisted 49 families with children affected by parental substance abuse. :: read more
NEW in FY 2009! BEGIN: With a $3.5 million capital grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce and $450,000 from Catholic Charities, we will open the BEGIN New Venture Center (small business incubator), the BEGIN Training & Education Center and the BEGIN Catholic Charities Conference Center. NEW in FY 2009! Rosati House: In October 2008, we will end homelessness for 26 chronically homeless men and women through our new permanent, supportive housing complex. In FY08, we provided counseling and daily living skills instruction to 34 mentally ill clients through our Rosati transitional living center. :: read more
