Since 1983, St. Patrick Center has helped lead more than 114,000 homeless and impoverished to lives of self-sufficiency and dignity. With 22 programs and 13 partners in our Partnership Center, we are a national model for best practices and have been recognized for our innovation and successful outcomes.  

St. Patrick Center is the largest provider of homeless services in Missouri, serving more than 9,000 persons annually who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. St. Patrick Center helps individuals and families move from homelessness to independence in a measurable, cost-effective manner.

Chronically Homeless
This population generally has the following characteristics: 
--Multiple episodes of homelessness over at least a three-year period of time
--A severe mental illness along with a substance abuse disability
--Comprises ten percent of the homeless population

Estimated number of Chronically Homeless per year in St. Louis City: 1,070
Number of Shamrock Day Program clients served in Fiscal Year 2007: 2,164
Number of dually diagnosed clients at St. Patrick Center (self-disclosed): 1,239

Veterans
St. Patrick Center served 965 veterans (unduplicated) in a 12-month period ending in June 2007. This accounted for 11% of the population served at the center. The Homeless Employment Program served 671 veterans; the Shamrock Day Program served 263; and the Substance Abuse Treatment Program served 212.


Grace Hill Clinic at St. Patrick Center
During Fiscal Year 2007, 1,220 unduplicated clients, with 3,304 appointments, were seen in the clinic.

Logan Chiropractic Clinicat St. Patrick Center
During Fiscal Year 2007, 406 unduplicated clients, with 3,810 appointments, were seen in the clinic.

ABE/GED Program at St. Patrick Center
During Fiscal Year 2007, a total of 258 clients/students, with 2,650 attendance days, participated.
