    Trevisano Family: Teddy Bear Christmas Land
    Look at what one family does each holiday season to help St. Patrick Center clients! The Trevisano Teddy Bear Christmas Land is a sight to see, with thousands of lights, more than 100 teddy bears, plus animations and Christmas music. For 7 years running, instead of collecting donations for their electric bill, the Trevisanos have given the proceeds from their donation box to St. Patrick Center to help build permanent, positive change for the agency’s clients. In 2011, the Trevisanos raised nearly $4,500!

    Underwear War: Oakville & Mehlville High Schools
    In the Fall, Oakville and Mehlville High Schools wage a war… an Underwear War! The schools compete to see who can collect the most pairs of new socks and underwear for St. Patrick Center clients during their annual Underwear War! Students, alumni, parents and teachers gather every year at the schools’ homecoming football game to see who will take home the Underwear War trophy!

    Partners for Just Trade
    St. Patrick Center is teaming up with Partners for Just Trade, an organization that provides the retail and wholesale outlets for producer groups through Fair Trade sales in in churches and community organizations, at retail stores across the country, as well as through an online store. During the month of November and December 2011, individuals can purchase one-of-a-kind handmade/fair trade items from Partners for Just Trade and St. Patrick Center will receive 15% of the proceeds when you enter STPAT at the end of your order!

    Bets for Vets
    November 2011
    Meadowbrook Country Club & board member Tom Sweeney hosted a spectacular evening of food and fun at the annual Bets for Vets event to benefit the various veterans programs at St. Patrick Center. Stay tuned for event results!


    Abstrakt Marketing “Facebook-a-thon”
    August 2011
    Abstrakt Marketing chose St. Patrick Center as the recipient of its monthly facebook-a-thon which awarded $1 to SPC for each new facebook fan they received in the month of August.

    SOLES 4 SOULS

    Folks kicked their shoes off in June 2011 all over the country for Soles4Souls 4th Annual National Barefoot Week, and the clients at St. Patrick Center received several hundred pair of shoes as part of the week. Soles4Souls Inc., the international shoe charity is dedicated to providing shoes for individuals in need. Soles4Souls celebrated their national awareness week by giving away shoes and asking individuals to go barefoot to raise awareness for the cause.

    FirstGiving fundraising opportunity
    May 1, 2011-June 30, 2011
    St. Patrick Center has launched its own FirstGiving page which gives our supporters the opportunity to raise money for SPC in an easy, effective way. Through FirstGiving’s web-based fundraising software, you can create your own SPC online fundraising campaign, which can be emailed and shared on social media to encourage your family and friends to help St. Patrick Center build permanent, positive change! Our goal is to raise $10,000 by June 30, 2011 to help move five families from homelessness to housing!

    Funderwear Challenge: Cor Jesu & St. Joseph Academy
    Every Spring, Cor Jesu Academy and St. Joseph Academy students team up to help St. Patrick Center clients through their annual Funderwear Challenge. What started years ago as a clothing drive, the Funderwear Challenge has grown into a friendly, charitable competition in which each school community donates pairs of new socks and underwear as the “price of admission” at a CJA vs. SJA game. All socks and underwear collected in the Funderwear Challenge are donated to St. Patrick Center’s homeless clients.

    Wells Fargo Trivia Night: November 13, 2010
    Following the 2010 United Way campaign, Wells Fargo Advisors hosted a Trivia Night for United Way Leadership Givers and their guests. Prizes were given in the form of Wells Fargo grants to various United Way agencies, including St. Patrick Center. Participants were asked to select and then play trivia and decorate their table to benefit their selected United Way organization. In the end, the St. Patrick Center table won for having the most festive decorations and the agency was awarded a $2,500 grant!

    Cowboy Ribeyes Kickoff Party
    Cowboy Ribeyes partners Jeffrey Zornes and Scott McKenna kicked off their new venture as purveyors of bone-in ribeye steaks with a “Gift Some to Those You Regard” fundraiser January 28, 2010 at Palladium St. Louis to benefit St. Patrick Center. Guests enjoyed 110 Cowboy Ribeyes, great dressings, wine, beer and cocktails. Those in attendance raised $7,700 for St. Patrick Center clients! Thanks to Butler’s Pantry, Creekstone Farms, Pear Tree, Inc., Mettler Family Winery, MoBev and O’Fallon Brewing for helping to make the event fun and informative.

    Cycling for Change
    The Catholic Charities USA Cycling for Change effort, a 5,000 mile, 100-day bike ride, wound through St. Louis this summer to raise awareness about poverty and homelessness. Fr. Matt Ruhl, S.J. is currently leading a group of cyclists on a pilgrimage across America that began Memorial Day in Washington and will finish Labor Day in Key West. Locally, the ride came through St. Louis on July 24 & 25, 2010. Proceeds raised through the Cycling for Change St. Louis event benefited St. Patrick Center clients.

    McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant: Preview Dinner
    McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant chose St. Patrick Center as the beneficiary of a preview dinner before opening to the public in West County Center. Guests were asked to make a $35 donation to attend the event with all proceeds going to St. Patrick Center. At the sold-out dinner, McCormick & Schmick’s helped raise nearly $5,000 for the clients of St. Patrick Center!

    Edward Jones: Shamrock Saturday Fundraiser
    Edward Jones once again selected St. Patrick Center as the beneficiary of its Shamrock Saturday fundraiser. Employee volunteers collected donations and handed out donuts and green beads to its Financial Advisors coming into work on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. Other employees were encouraged to donate on Friday, helping raise more than $8,000 for the clients of St. Patrick Center!



    Oscar Night Theme Party
    David Hults and Brad Fuller chose St. Patrick Center as the beneficiary of their annual Oscar-themed party. The night before the Oscar ceremony, Hults and Fuller played host to more than 100 guests who arrived in limos and walked the red carpet in style. With a raffle to win a trip to Colorado as well as a silent auction, the party raised almost $5,000 to support the clients of St. Patrick Center!

    HealthBridge Inc.: “Happy Hearts & Bellies” Cookbook
    HealthBridge Inc. has chosen St. Patrick Center to be the first beneficiary of the proceeds from its cookbook, “Happy Hearts and Bellies.” The idea originated from monthly potluck lunches, where employees would create their favorite dishes to share. “Happy Hearts and Bellies” is compiled of beloved recipes from HealthBridge employees, family and friends and has raised $600 for St. Patrick Center clients!



    Vector Marketing: Client Closet Donation
    Vector Marketing chose St. Patrick Center clients as the beneficiaries of a suit collection. Attendees to Vector’s annual Representative Development Conference in St. Louis donated 150 gently used professional business suits to St. Patrick Center’s Client Closet for its employment department. Vector teaches their representatives to first help others to succeed, in order to achieve personal success.
